1. As of April 2024, a submission fee of RM 200 must be paid when submitting an article. Submission fees can be paid via online submission, bank transfer method, cheque or direct cash payment. The submission fee is non-refundable. The payment of the submission fee does not guarantee that it will be formally reviewed or accepted for publication.

2. When resubmitting an article that was previously rejected, submission fee is required as it is considered as a new submission.

3. A separate publication fee (Article Publication Costs, or APC) is required for articles that are accepted for publication..

4. Once payment for submission is made, we shall proceed with submission of the manuscript to the Editorial Board members, immediately. It will take a minimum of 6 months or more, for the manuscript to be reviewed by the Editorial Board. Each manuscript submitted to MNJ will undergo a thorough validation process in nominating a peer-reviewer, along with the prerequisites and guidelines, before the approval for publication in the Malayan Nature Journal.

5. Once the article is reviewed and accepted to be published, the contributor will be notified and the APC fee has to be made. A publication fee of RM 450 (non-MNS members) or RM 350 (MNS Members) with a maximum of 10 pages will be charged for every article published. Additional pages (for articles >10 pages) will be charged at RM50 per page.

6. Articles that contain coloured images, diagrams, graphs and etc will be charged at RM100 per page.

7. DOI registration will be charged at RM75 per article.

8. Articles will only be published after the publication fee has been received.

9. A few pages of the journal will be dedicated for adverts. Kindly contact MNS for updated rates and inquiries.
